![]() Stage One is not challenging because we don't want this to be challenging. It's fun, simple to follow, and very rewarding. Our goal is to have you performing music that until now you've only dreamed about. You can be good enough to play in a band and perform with your friends. You will accomplish this by the end of this course. The Stage One DVD is seventy-minutes in length and divided into four lessons. Each lesson is designed to take about a week to accomplish. There are chapter marks located throughout the program to easily find and review any section using your DVD player's remote. Stage One and Stage Two together are equivalent to Level One of The Complete Basic Course. These two programs are a more thorough and an easier approach to learning to play guitar than Level One. What's Included? * An introduction to the course * Special considerations for students under the age of eleven * How to use an inexpensive device to shorten the neck for young guitarists * Course can be mastered with either an acoustic or electric guitar * Advice for purchasing a guitar * New vs. used instrument * Recommendation for how to choose a used instrument * Parts of the guitar identified * How to tune your guitar to another guitar * How to tune your guitar to itself * Electronic tuners * The correct technique for fretting a note * A technique for comfortably reaching notes instead of difficult stretches * Proper picking technique: up, down, and alternate * Seven finger exercises * How to read guitar tablature * Each of the four lessons have stated goals to accomplish before moving on * Motivation: your goals and what you can expect from this course * Open position chords and barre chords explained * Seven chords that can be played using no more than one finger * How to read chord diagrams * Proper fingering * All exercises feature picture-in-picture to view both the fretting and picking hands in close-up detail * All exercises demonstrated at very slow and normal tempos * All exercises include on-screen animated tab so you can follow along as each note is played. * Bonus materials: Extra files on disk for printing a manual and playing along with animated tab files with free software player * Twenty-four chords diagrams in this lesson * How tablature compares to standard notation * How to allow your subconscious to play chords * The barre chord technique. How to effortlessly barre several strings with your index finger to move chords up and down the neck without changing the fingering. * Learn two barre chords to move up and down the neck to play twenty-four different chords keeping the hand shape the same * Learn half of the note names on the guitar * A chapter guide to easily navigate the DVD password: warezdonkey.com http://rapidshare.com/files/85936467/Metal_Method_-_Stage_One.part1.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/85944461/Metal_Method_-_Stage_One.part2.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/85951967/Metal_Method_-_Stage_One.part3.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/85960521/Metal_Method_-_Stage_One.part4.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/85968673/Metal_Method_-_Stage_One.part5.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/85973842/Metal_Method_-_Stage_One.part6.rar e-book: http://rapidshare.com/files/86125817/filePtcuWj.rar

Well, I'm14 years old and I absolutely love music and it’s my life. I'm learning to play piano and that is pretty easy I'm fast at learning it and I have a Piano in my house and I have piano classes in school as an elective. So I really badly want to learn to play guitar. My parents said I could get lessons as longs as I don't quit on piano. I need to know if you live In Florida where I could get lessons.

LOL I'm not a guitar instructor, nor do I live in Florida but I do have quite a few guiyat tutorials but some of the basic beginning stuff is hard to come by and most of my uploads are intermediate to advanced but there are a few 'starter' ones in this section so go nuts. I would suggest the one from Tom Kolb for beginning guitar and Fretboard Navigator 1 and 2, for chord practice.

Yeah, u can definitely find a lot of info online for beginning guitar -- and most of it is free. All kinds of videos on youtube and stuff -- but beware....
I just got from the "beginner" level to the "intermediate" level -- but it was with help from an online course that I had to pay for. I had started with the free stuff but the problem was that I couldn't ORGANIZE the free lessons in any kind of moderately rational way.. I was always switching between various videos and there was no order to anything. So I was trying to do scales when I should have just been dealing with really basic picking technique and etc. So eventually I decided I need to do an actual online course -- No.pub.and.no.live.links.allowed.com -- it actually worked pretty well! I might recommend you try it out. cheers ![]() Last edited by MadRic : 08-12-2008 at 03:01 PM. Reason: Better read the rules... |
